This past holiday weekend I decided that my daughter's bedroom chandelier looked a little too cottagy and young. Translation: I was bored. Even so, I wanted to spray it gold for fun. What did I have to lose? If I hated it I could always just spray it white. It wasn't a difficult project: My clever husband got it down and hung it up from a rope over an old 4 x 4 post steadied, on one side, with the block wall and the other side our trashcan with a pot on top ( I like spraying things this way because I can get all the angles).
Anyway, I think it turned out quite nice! Very Marie Antoinette. I have made quite a few things in my house gold lately, but, like I said before, when/if I tire of them, I can always re- paint.
I love this DIY! It turned out great!
