Lately I've been thinking that I'd like to pare down my wardrobe. I have way too many clothes (I know, I can't believe I'm saying that either!), but I still always feel like I have nothing to wear. I really would like to make the move to quality over quantity. Of course, this takes time. And money. Can't forget the money!
Anyway, so I've been drawn to more basic pieces that have something special, like a black blouse that looks simple in the front but has buttons down the back or a swing cut in the back. (I am describing two of my most recent purchases, just so you know.)
I love color, and I know it is spring, but lately I have been drawn to a palette of black, white, cream, and navy. Go figure.
Here's a little of what has been inspiring me lately.
Can Ines de la Fressange do wrong? So chic! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! The Cat and I wasted our day standing in line at the post office to renew her passport only to find out that we were missing a piece of paper that the website said we didn't need. Super fun times. I have to keep telling myself that the end result is our trip to France. Standing in line for a couple of hours at the post office two days in a row will be worth it.
Simple, understated and soooo stylish - beautiful picks. I'm on the hunt for a cute pair of red flats too and these are perfect :o) Xx

Aren't those great?! I also love the shoes in the last pic.

I've taken that step recently–relying on a uniform, buying pieces that work with everything else, and being judicious in my purchasing, and I absolutely love the ease its brought to dressing in the morning! Plus who doesn't want a chic wardrobe of striped shirts and ballet flats?
