Can't Wait: Wes Anderson and Rifle Wallpaper

Spring Break is more than halfway over.  We were supposed to go to the beach for a couple of days, but it is supposed to rain up and down the coast, so we are staying home.  The consolation is that every time it rains, my Mom throws the kids a tea party.  I love a good tea party.
Another thing I am really looking forward to?
The new Wes Anderson movie arrives in a close-by theater on Thursday!  I can't wait.

Another thing to look forward to- over on Hygge & West, they've announced a a collaboration with Rifle paper company, and are releasing a Rifle wallpaper collection in May.

Pretty, isn't it?  This little display was made by Nicole Balch of Making it Lovely.
For now this is the only wallpaper they are letting us see.  It reminds me of my Gram (and that is a good thing).
Hope you're having a great week!

Valentine's Day: Planning

I think Valentine's day is fun but I'm not all about over-the-top romantic (expensive) tokens of love.  I mean, I would totally accept the diamonds but I think it should be about sweet gestures.  It really is more about my kids than my husband and myself these days.  We have an anniversary for all of that, after all.  I always do a big breakfast for them and there are a couple of extra goodies but I did find a few things that I might have to include this year.

I love this idea.  I know it is more commonly used for weddings but I think it would be cute on the mantel with fresh flowers.  One with my husband and my initials and another with the kids initials.  I'm thinking I could make these myself too.
Carved Hearts - Hand Stamped Spoon - Vintage Gift - 2012 Original forsuchatimedesigns - Valentine
There is an obvious theme this year:  I do love this spoon.  Maybe done as a coffee spoon set?
Cherry-Almond Vanilla Cupcakes
I am definitely making these cherry almond vanilla cupcakes this year!  Doesn't that sound amazing?
heart shaped macarons w/ raspberries
I think we might just need a few of these macaron sandwich cookies as well.  It looks like a healthy breakfast, I mean, it has berries in it.
Gold dipped milk bottles.
More pretty vases so I can buy myself more flowers to fill them.  That's right, Valentine's day is a great excuse to get more flowers.
Rifle Paper Co. - Heart Bandit Card
This is the perfect, cheeky and sweet card for my valentine.

I know it's early, but are you planning anything for your family or significant other for Valentine's day?

Easter via Rifle Paper Co.

Easter is just days away so I am in a panic to finish all the little things that Easter requires to make little ones happy.  I also want to make a beautiful flower arrangement for my mom who hosts our Easter dinner.  Today was Gwenna's last day of pre-school before Spring break and I wanted to get her three wonderful teachers a little special something.  Target is now carrying Rifle Paper Co. products so I bought a three- pack of gorgeous journals {you will see at the end}.  I looked on Rifle Paper Co's site , only to find other fabulous products for Easter that I thought I would share with you.

Floral Easter Egg Card
Wildflower Wrapping Sheets
Decorated Easter Eggs Card
Easter Palms Card

Here is what I put together for my daughter's teachers.  A bit of trim and pretty pencils attached to these elegant and cheery journals {available in stores} make for pretty Easter gifts.

I hope all your Easter preparations are going well!  We still have to dye eggs and...well...fit in quite a few little things.  Today, though, we are headed to the zoo.

Cuteness overload: Audrey, Coco, and Anna Bond

buy it here
I found a couple of new books that I want!  The first one is called Just Being Audrey by Margaret Cardillo and Julia Denos.  Both of the books are for kids, but I don't care.
The second one is called Different Like Coco by Elizabeth Matthews.  This one is actually a picture book for kids, but it seems like such a sweet little biography.  It's on my list.
buy it here

This is why I love pinterest.  Someone pinned this photo, and I thought it was so cute that I went to the original source to check it out.

The note cards are from Rifle Paper Company, and I am loving the work of the artist, Anna Bond.
I mean, come on, how ridiculously cute is that?  You can order premade note cards and other stationary items, or you can have the artist create customized note cards for you.  Her work is so, so, so sweet.
Look, I'll prove it.
Available at Anthropologie

I just couldn't stand the cuteness, so I looked around the site for awhile and then I checked out the blog.  Even more cuteness!  The illustrator, Anna Bond, had a gift guide "for the little ones" that was full of cute stuff, including the book on Audrey Hepburn.

So I am in love with the new books, I am in love with the stationary, and I am in love with the blog Rifle Paper Co.  You should definitely go check it out.  If you like super cute things.
