Payless: Surprising Comfort & Style

I had been seeing commercials for Payless and their new comfort line, dexflex comfort, and thought I would look them up on their website.  I was surprised to see such positive reviews!  Not only were people raving about the amazing comfort but loved how they looked as well.  I ran over to my local Payless (and I have to admit I haven't darkened their doorway for years) and tried a few styles.  I couldn't believe how amazing these shoes were for the price!  And, can I just say, these are stand- on- your- feet and walk- all- day comfortable.  They range from around $20 to $40 so I bought a pair of gray suede wedges.  I definitely plan to buy more.

Minor Obsession: Zebra

I have long been a fan of leopard print, whether it's shoes, accessories, or even a coat (I still regret not buying the perfect leopard print coat I saw last year at Forever 21, of all places, and that the one I ordered from Asos just didn't work).  I love my leopard print loafers so much, in fact, that after just over a year they are already wearing out- the calf hair is rubbing off in certain places.  I have a pair of kitten heels in the leopard print (how apropos, right?!) that I now wish I had purchased two of (poor grammar- don't care!), and I am still on the lookout for a replacement pair of leopard loafers.  While looking for those, though, I came upon these Vince Camuto zebra loafers that are pretty damn fabulous.

I really kind of love them.  They are $225, which is more than I want to spend on cotton zebra print loafers, but still.  I do already have a little pair of slip on zebra print shoes, but they are more like ballet flats, and they just aren't as fantastic as these.
While I do not think these would become the neutral that I view my leopard print shoes as, I could definitely see myself putting these babies into heavy rotation in my closet.   Now if only Vince Camuto would make them available on the website.  Oh, and if they lowered the price.  A lot.
Oh well.  I hope your week is off to a great start!  I am in training all day.  After a later than usual school night (because of an impromptu outing to a Sheryl Crow concert at the local fair), I am sure to be nodding off throughout the day.  Oh well.  If I fall asleep during the training, maybe I will dream about these shoes!

I'm always on the lookout for new shoes.  I tend to buy the same styles over and over.  I guess I know what I like, and I like the following.  They are all similar, but that would not stop me from adding all of them to my shoe wardrobe!

Love these two tone flats- the colors are classic and because there is both brown and black, you could pair them with so much!  They come in another color, too.

I adore a good loafer.  I have a pair of Cole Haan loafers in my favorite shade of brown leather, and I  wear them all the time.  I got them at Marshall's sometime last year- they are about a size too big for me, but that is all they had left, and I wanted them so badly that I bought them despite the size!

Nautical Inspired Pieces I Wish Were Mine

D&G blouse

I am in love with this Dolce and Gabbana anchor print blouse.  And the See by Chloe nautical inspired cardigan.  I just thought you should know that.  Actually, I have a thing for nautical style.  Always have.  When I was in the 6th grade, my family and I went to Northern California on vacation.  I had this little white denim Guess dress with a ruffled skirt that I wore when we were in Monterey.  We all ended up freezing up there, even though it was summertime, so we had to buy sweaters from a gift shop.  Mine was solid navy blue with the words "Monterey Bay" imprinted on the fabric.  I remember loving the look of that navy blue sweatshirt with my white dress.  I guess that is when my obsession was born.  To this day, navy is still one of my all time favorite colors for clothes.  And if that navy comes in something related to a nautical theme, forget it.  You can bet that I'm going to need whatever item fits the bill.
