Mapmaker, Mapmaker...

My sister in law is always sending links to me that she knows either me or the Cat (or both of us!) will love.  The latest link was to map and guide maker extraordinaire, Herb Lester.  These maps are like gorgeous, functioning pieces of art.

Maps for those of you who want to stay around America and do some exploring.

How cute is this map, "An Uncle's Guide to London"?!  It is full of places to take your little ones, whether you're their uncle or not.

 

When you're done with America, you can explore Europe.

This map allows you to explore London through a writer's eyes, focusing on places where famous authors used to go for inspiration, where they had falling outs, and even the places where their characters liked to visit.  (Think meeting places of Sherlock Holmes.) 

Who doesn't love San Francisco?  This guide will take you to the famous landmarks but also to places a little off the beaten path. 

While you're doing all that traveling, you'll need some luggage tags, right?  How adorable are these?! 

This is just too cute not to be included.  You can use it to tape up packages you're sending back home from your journeys.

Secret Club Tags, otherwise known as key chains.  They remind me of something you'd spot in a Wes Anderson film.  I love the "Penpal Society" and would love to be a part of that club!
